How to use Leakage Suppression in Reaper

Step 1: Create a new Track, and name it "Kick Trigger"

  • Put the Kick Audio track in the Kick Trigger folder

Step 2: Pan the Kick audio track completely to the Left

Step 3: Create a prefader send on the Snare to Bus 1-2 and pan completely to the Right

Step 4: Insert Trigger 2 on the Kick Trigger Aux Track

  • Load Kick samples in the Browser

Step 5: Dial in the triggering settings

Step 6: Adjust the "Suppress" parameter to prevent the Snare bleed from triggering the Kick

Note: To suppress the bleed from other parts of the drum kit, add a send on those Audio track as done previously with the Snare
